He did it!!!

Aiden is now on to bigger and better things...he has rolled over and now he won't stop! Last weekend I was washing the bottles (an every night thing) and Richard yelled for me to hurry into the other room and there was Aiden trying to get his chunky leg over his hips. I got there just in time to see him roll over for the first time...yay!!! Now I can't change his diaper without him trying to roll over...he is so proud of his new trick. On Monday I watched him in his classroom with the other babies and they were all laying around together on the mat and Aiden had to show off and show what he had learned over the weekend:) That's our big boy and we are so proud! Stay tuned...

Don't Freak Out Just Yet...

I know some of you reading this won't really care, but a little birdy told me that 2 American Classics are returning to the movie theaters for a short time to bask in all their Old Family Ways. I'm talking about The Godfather and The Godfather Part II. My friends, these are works of art and not a flaw with them (that's in part 3). Hopefully they will be coming to my neck of the woods. so excited

Random Thoughts

1. Why is it that you can't go to Target and just get one thing? Anne you will appreciate this post. No matter when you go or what you are going for, you always end up buying more than you planned. I will tell you why, because Target is the best! They have everything you need and it has become my favorite store. I could max out a credit card there.

2. I just tried these new cheetos--Jalapeno cheetos...I know they sound gross but they really were good so try them.

3. We have a "cafe" here at work and the man that runs it is very intimidating. For those of you who watched Seinfeld he would remind you of the soup nazi. No matter when you go in or what you are ordering he looks pissed off that you are even in his cafe. It is even worse at lunch time, if there is a long line he gets very flustered and overwhelmed and gets mad that you are ordering a sandwich in the first place. He has been this way every single day UNTIL I had a breakthrough...I must have caught him on a good day and he was nice and talkative. Since then we have become friends and he knows my regular order:)

4. Aiden overcame his first ear infection...poor little guy was miserable over the weekend though. He lasted 4 days in daycare before getting sick. We took him to his 4 month old checkup the other day and he weighs (hold on to your seat) 17 pounds!!! As my friend Amanda put it "Good God, what are you feeding that kid???" I promise he just drinks milk but he is so strong! We now call him our meatball:)

That's all I have for today, just some random thoughts.

I am Aiden's Plaything....

hello everybody, this is dad...

this is weird, i've never done this before so it'll take some getting used to--please bear with me...thanks a bunch!

As you've heard, this whole site pertains to Aiden and all that encompasses that great bundle of joy (and sometimes poo). Maybe, from time to time, Mom and Dad will diversify and talk about other things we like, y'know--food (aiden) fun (aiden) TV (aiden) film (aiden) and such. oh well, I better get back to watching the critter--he's gonna read me a book...

My latest obsession

Good Afternoon!
Okay so as you already know, Aiden is in daycare now and he is doing well! He has been all smiles each morning I have dropped him off so that is great. One of the "selling points" for me with this specific daycare is that they offer "parent watch" which is where you can log in and see inside your childs classroom on the internet. This is great and all but I have become obsessed! I have found myself yelling at my computer saying "Why are you holding him like that?" "Why are you giving up on feeding him his bottle just because he looked away?" "Why are you putting him in his swing AGAIN?" "Why is that teacher wearing purple crocks again?" ha ha ha! It is fair to say that I have lost it. I finally made myselg log off because I was going crazy. It will be okay Courtney, take a deep breath!

My next subject, Richard and I have found our new favorite hamburger place...Five Guys Burgers and Fries, it is out of this world! There is one in Richmond/Rosenberg (yes we drove all the way out there to go) and it is wonderful! Thank you Mrs. Joiner for introducing us to this place.

First Day

Well my friends...it has finally happened...the day I have dreaded for months...Aiden's first day at daycare! Let me start by describing what it's like to have to wake up a 4 month old at 6:45, get all his stuff together, and carry the following down a flight of stairs by yourself:
1. Breast pump
2. My cooler
3. Aiden's cooler
4. My purse
5. Aiden's diaper bag
6. A big box of diapers
7. Aiden in his (what feels like) 20 lb carseat carrier.

It was a task to say the least. I made it two hours before calling to "check in" so I think that is pretty good. The first call went something like this (every mom's nightmare):
Daycare director: "Learning Stages this is Mrs. Lety"
Me: "Good morning Mrs. Lety, this is Courtney Rosenzweig".
Daycare director: "Hi Courtney, how is Aiden?"

UMMMM...

Me: "I don't know, that is why I am calling you!!!! (Hyperventilating at my desk).
Daycare director: "Oh yeah, ha ha! Let me check...

It turned out he was fine, she just hadn't been in his classroom yet BUT I did almost leave work and drive over there when I thought she couldn't locate my son!
Since then I have only called one other time and he was doing fine:) I know he is well taken care of but even that doesn't make this process any easier. I cried all the way to work and then some but I am better now. I have realized how being a mom is the most rewarding, exciting, scariest thing ever. I wouldn't change it for anything in the world but it truly is gut wrenching when you see your little one stare at you with that worried look on his face when you leave his classroom. How will I ever survive the first day of kindergarten? ha!!!

Big Brother Daniel

Here is our other love-big brother Daniel! Daniel is also such a gift and we cherish every moment we spend with him. Daniel is obsessed with one thing and one thing only right now...STAR WARS. It consumes his little brain. He likes to listen to the soundtrack and tell you what is happening in the movie at each moment. Daniel's other hobbies include chasing his dad, wrestling in the living room, fighting with his light saber and most of all taking care of Aiden. He loves his little brother more than anything and it shows. He is very overprotective and can't wait to teach Aiden the following things:

1. How to fight with a light saber

2. How to run

3. How to eat chicken nuggets

4. How to wash his hair without getting soap in his eyes

5. How to dance

Daniel is such a bright light and we love him so much:)

Our Aiden

We would like to introduce our little angel Aiden Nathaniel Rosenzweig...isn't he the cutest? Here he is just showing his Papa that he is ready to go to an Astros game anytime:) Aiden was born April 9, 2008 and he truly is a gift from God.
The latest update with Aiden is that he found his feet and is going to roll over any day now. He also thinks his dad is the funniest man ever. Keep watching as there will be many more updates to come!
