Life is good
Hey everyone! I just wanted to post a few pics and let you know that Aiden has finally gotten his two bottom teeth! It was quite a long week getting those teeth to come out and Aiden was not happy most of the week but we finally got some relief until the top ones come in.
Daniel is doing great, he graduates from Pre-K on Thursday and we will all be there to cheer him on:) We just celebrated his 5th birthday and Richard and I just realized that he really isn't a baby anymore (yes it took us this long). We all had a great time at his party and the weekend ended with him asking Richard "Daddy, are you proud of me for turning 5?" Yes Daniel, we are:)
Richard and I are doing great, we are getting the chance to go on dates a little more often and are really enjoying that. That is not to say that we don't talk about the boys the entire time throughout dinner while on a date though...ha! What a great life we have.
Here are some pics...enjoy:)

What!?!?
Well...it happened...Aiden got bit by his friend at school. We got the "incident report" and his teacher told me that he was "absolutely devastated" when it happened. My poor baby!!! He couldn't even defend himself because he has no teeth! If he tried to bite someone it would just be a bunch of slobber and he would just suck on their arm or something...ha!
Thankfully, he has recovered and was happy again last night.

New Pics!
Hey everyone! Just a few new pics to share and some updates:) As you can see from the picture of Aiden and Daniel, Aiden is the stronger child. ha! Boys will be boys!
An update on Aiden-he is officially sleeping in his crib and doesn't need to be rocked to sleep. I give him his bottle and sit with him and then lay him in his crib and he talks to his pacis (he sleeps with 4 in his bed) and soothes himself to sleep. He sleeps with one paci in his mouth and then one in each hand (just in case he needs backup!) He is so fun! He is cruising around holding on to everything but then also gets the courage to let go every now and then and try to step but then falls on his bottom. He will be walking any time now. I'm guessing before his 1st birthday:) Speaking of birthday...Aiden is going to be 1!!!!!!!! Where has the year gone? Why did it go so fast? My baby boy is growing up too fast! I have loved every single moment of mommyhood. We have been blessed with the most laid back, easygoing child ever. It's time to start party planning!
As for Daniel, he is doing great. He prefers Aiden not follow him around everywhere and that Aiden not play with Daniel's toys BUT he will be the first one to speak up if Aiden whimpers and let's me know immediately what he thinks Aiden needs. Daniel is the best big brother. When he is around other children he tells them all about Aiden and shows him off to his friends. How did we get so lucky with these two sweet boys? He is still perfecting his Tae Kwon Do moves and may or may not have a crush on Daphne from Scooby Doo:)
As for Richard and I, we are doing well...just enjoying every minute of parenthood. Now if we could only keep up with the laundry!!!

Who Does That!?!?
Okay so I went to Wal-Mart today on my lunch break and I even decided to go to the "classier" Wal-Mart if there is such a thing. I get to the checkout lane and ask the cashier if perhaps she has a pen I could borrow in which case she proceeds to pull one out of HER HAIR!!! There I am standing there, starting to sweat, wondering what I am supposed to do. This normally wouldn't be a huge deal but I have no idea who this woman is, her hair looked a mess and aside from all that...WHO DOES THAT? She pulled it out of her big hair and handed it to me. I couldn't be rude and say "No thanks, do you have another?" so instead I used it and then used hand sanitizer all over my hands...3 times. I just thought I would share that little story. First I get my carts stolen and then I get faced with a nappy pen.
Isn't Aiden cute though?

Crib Crisis

Okay so maybe I should have listened when so many people were telling me "You will be sorry" when it came to us letting Aiden sleep in our bed! He is now almost 10 months and we finally got him in his crib but he only sleeps there for a few hours and then wants to come cuddle with us in the big bed (can you blame him?) It was nice and comfy when he was a tiny baby but now he is 22 pounds and very strong. Richard and I get woken up at least 3 times each with a foot in our face, a punch to the jaw or a kick to the stomach...and then he flips upside down (all of this is happening and he is still asleep). I love the little guy though:) He wakes up and sits up and talks to himself, smiles and then claps and that is how I get up...what could be better?
How could you resist this face?

Sorry!
I want to apologize for not blogging in FOREVER! I am not very good at this, I think I bit off more than I could chew here. One of my New Years resolutions is to write more and post more pictures on this thing! I do have a few updates for you...Aiden is pulling up and cruising around:) He likes to stand at the coffee table and throw everything off of it (including your food if you have some sitting there). He has also learned how to grab the spoon from you if you are feeding him something he doesn't like and proceed to throw it across the room. Richard and I found carrots on our wall just yesterday. This is not good but really cute:) Aiden is also clapping and playing peek a boo! His latest trick is to crawl inside our bedroom and shut the door on your face and clap a bunch:) Have I told anyone lately that he is the best looking baby I've ever seen? I love this child more than I can even explain.
As for Daniel, he got to experience Santa for the first time this year (we haven't had him the past years AND he is Jewish so this was a big deal!) He loved it! He got so involved and wanted to leave carrots out for the reindeers on Christmas Eve and his eyes got so big when he woke up Christmas morning and saw the carrots were gone! I made the mistake of teaching Daniel the song that goes "When you are sliding into first and you feel a little burst....." do you know what comes next? He sings it all the time now. WHOOOPS! We found a park by our house so we have had so much fun taking the boys there and watching Aiden in the baby swing and Richard and Daniel swinging from a tree reinacting Indiana Jones:)
And as for Richard and I...we need to go on a date...ha! We keep trying to plan a movie or something but I don't want to leave Aiden...ha! I have to get past this, I know. We are asleep on the couch everynight at 8:30...WATCH OUT! I am going to give Richard a shout out and just say that I love him very much, and he is the best dad to these boys! The way these boys look up to their dad is a great thing to watch.
I love my family:)
